The Rooks are an indie soul sextet based out of New York City. The band draws on an eclectic catalogue of influences (Stevie Wonder, J Dilla,The Dirty Projectors) as they dance the line between music that makes you think and feel good in your soul.
The band earned recognition across the northeast with their debut EP, Something You Can Take (2013), as well as their highly successful residency at Pianos NYC -- the second highest grossing residency in venue history. This past February, they won The Deli Magazine’s Artist of The Month award and are currently back in the studio preparing the release of their second EP.
