Beschreibung
Only in her early 20s, mandolinist/vocalist Sierra Hull has already compiled an impressive résumé: she has released several albums of original music, recordings whose personnel lists are a who’s who of the bluegrass world. She has joined Alison Krauss at venues like the Grand Ole Opry and the White House, the former occurring when Hull was 11 years old. She has become the first bluegrass artist to receive the prestigious Presidential Scholarship, the largest single award presented by the Berklee College of Music.
The last ten years have seen Hull blossom from a child prodigy into one of Americana’s few full-fledged virtuosic instrumentalist/singer/songwriters, and one who’s gracefully grown into her gifts. Matt Glaser, head of Berklee’s American Roots Music Program, put it this way: “She has no limitations as a musician.”
Justin Moses is an accomplished acoustic instrumentalist playing mandolin, guitar, banjo, fiddle, dobro and bass. He has appeared on stage with diverse artists such as Alison Krauss, Del McCoury, Emmylou Harris, Brad Paisley, Joe Diffie, Jerry Douglas, Bruce Hornsby, Peter Frampton and Barry Gibb. He made his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2008 and has become in-demand as a session player, appearing on such albums as the 2009 IBMA Album of the Year and Grammy nominated Wheels by Dan Tyminski and Music to My Ears by Ricky Skaggs among many others.
