Idles are a heavy post-punk band from Bristol, London and Newport. Having spent the past four years working to the point where they have mastered their songs as visceral and jarring monolithic nods to the dark and estranged, this band reflects everything the post-punk genre is famous for.
The success of the band’s debut EP “Welcome” did not go unnoticed and so it happened that BBC Introducing in the Southwest honoured the group as “Band of The Year” in 2012.
One of the bands greatest assets is their energetic live performance, which is second to none. When Idles play live they give everything they have in an unapologetic force of nature, leaving nowhere for the audience to hide.
After taking a year and a half hiatus from the live scene, New Crush are delighted to announce the return of the quintet to the capital for an unforgettable evening to celebrate the darkest of tunes.
Idles play New Crush at Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen on Monday 27th July.
