The support group for Last.fm's free Spotify app, available here.

This is the official support group for Last.fm's Spotify app which you can either directly install for free from here or search in the Spotify desktop client with their App Finder. For general questions about Spotify you can also check their community forums which are open for all users.

Some preliminary remarks:
You do not need this app for scrobbling from Spotify, as the Spotify desktop client has a native scrobbler (check "Edit" -> "Preferences") which also caches the scrobbles in case the submissions server is not available. So you do not need the Last.fm scrobbler either if you want to scrobble from Spotify, but it can show you the wiki infos of the playing track like this app in the "Now Playing" tab. The permanent info "Enable scrobbling in Spotify's preferences!" on top of the Last.fm scrobbler GUI is just a reminder, not an actual error message, as the two clients are not directly connected and work independently from each other.

The Spotify apps for iOS and Android mobile phones as well as the beta web player for your browser can also scrobble to Last.fm, but do not feature a cache, so you lose your scrobbles if the connection to the Last.fm server is not available. Furthermore they cannot use this or other external apps.

Spotify is available in Italy, too, so you can install the Last.fm app for their desktop software, too, and use it with your Last.fm account. Or do you mean Last.fm radio streaming in Italy which unfortunately is not possible anymore since Jan 15th, 2013 (see this announcement)?

Biggest schranz/hardtechno/hardcore Label collection on Spotify! Wer Spotify nutzt sollte mal reinschauen ! :banga: das war Tage lange Arbeit und hat sich gelohnt !! :weird: :krank: Ihr findet dort alle Platten für die jeweiligen Labels ! (über 140!) Zusätzlich gibt es die Komplette Sammlung geteilt auf 4 Playlists, und eine reine CD Collection von 1990-2013 und als Schmankerl eine Playlist mit allen Minupren Tracks :D http://open.spotify.com/user/1122118693

That's right, creating playlists from recommended albums or anywhere else in the app (e.g. Similar Tracks from current track) and using them afterwards on your phone always works. By the way, Spotify is also available in Estonia, Hong Kong, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, and Singapore now.

Unfortunately not, because the Spotify apps for mobile phones cannot use external apps from the desktop client.

Italy, Poland and Portugal are the new countries where Spotify is available, so all of western Europe and the first one in eastern Europe have access now. Last.fm for Spotify is down to #6 in their Top Apps list though, how can this be? ;-) And they are progressing on their web player which also works in Opera now and sooner or later will be able to scrobble to Last.fm. Check the Spotify community forums for more information.
