Evisceration Plague was released 15 years ago! Happy anniversary to that excellent album!

Insane how that was released 15 years ago when it doesn't even feel like it's been that long.

I still remember being so excited (for Kill) cause they finally had an album with cover art, where I could wear the shirt and my high school wouldn't make me turn the damn thing inside out. Haha, time flies.

Vocals on ToTM are very specific and unique (basing on other CC records, no matters with which vocalist). Very low gutturals and completely undecipherable. So mentioned record is not the best example to start with the band, especially that it's probably their most brutal and fastest LP. I would rather start with "The Bleeding" from Barnes era or another classic - "Gallery of Suicide" with Corpsegrinder vocals.

I think vocal style just grows on you eventually over time. I did not get into CC at first too, but bands like Bolt Thrower, Obituary and Death kind of helped me bridge the gap into more brutal bands like CC

"Alex Webster came up with the name for the band, describing a Cannibal Corpse as "an undead corpse that's going to eat you" in the Centuries of Torment: The First 20 Years DVD."

For fans of the album cover artwork for Eaten Back to Life. There is another gruesome artwork that came out in 1990. I would say Eaten to Back Life's album cover artwork is probably more obscene, but this one may be equal or comes in second place: https://www.last.fm/music/Howlin%27+Mad/Insanity

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I find Chaos Horrific to be better than Violence Unimagined.

Well... they can't go on tours without a record label that pays their bills... ;-)

Yup. So the record label can get their piece of cake from my streaming. And the band can their's from me having fun on their gig while wearing their t-shirt. My main point was about hating the streaming. It does not do a bigger harm to the artists. It may do to the record labels. But those are greedy fucks anyway. They were ripping off the artists since the inception. Streaming is no bigger evil than record labels. If the decent money for artist is your argument against streaming - you should hate record labels at least equally strong. Buying the record won't make them rich unless they are Taylor Swift... But even she makes her $$$ from tours. Another point, less serious now, where would I play the record that I bought while running? In my butt?

Well, my butt is wide enough for an entire lp collection so I don't see your point.
