@ GORKAZL: electro is a genre of electronic music, not a synonym for electronic music. ed banger records is one of the leading electro labels. saying "there is not much music in there and it becomes repetitive" means that you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. get back to your bands

björk is not electronic music. björk is only a vocalist, she doesn't make her own tunes. vocals are probably the most irrelevant component of electronic music, because you always have the tune(track) without the vocals, but you don't have a track anymore if you take out the instrumental. if björk's producer(s) released an album of instrumentals only, then you could tag it 'electronic' (except if the tunes are recorded with live intruments, not produced)

right, electronic music, 50 years ago, was a subgenre of modern avant-garde music. today it's neither a genre nor an art form, it's a production technique. potentially, every kind of music can be produced electronically, so the term 'electronic' doesn't refer to any particular musical experience and not even any particular musical scene in the long run. the funny thing is, that björk's music in its essence isn't electronic at all. it's her voice, her weird melodies and her specific composing techniques that count. without that, björk wouldn't exist. without electronic, she would easily survive. but people don't reflect. even her a cappella album is tagged 'electronic' (and 'icelandic' of course ...). tags mostly don't refer to the music but to a pigeonhole in which the artist is perceived. could be "pink" or "nike" as well.

the wikipedia editors have a controverse discussion about discriminating 'electroning art music' from 'electronic music' and 'electronic dance music'. and it has been suggested not to merge 'computer music' with 'electronic music'. 'electronica' started as a commercial buzz word and not a genre, it was coined by US media to refer to the second wave of popular electronic music in the 90s (the first wave was called 'techno'), and has become an umbrella term, nobody is quite sure what it really means, who tries to define it will easily be attacked. historically, electronic music relied on electronic sound sources to produce music, which isn't necessarily the case in the 'electronica' realm.

Electronic(a) = "Contemporary electronic music expresses both art music forms including computer music, experimental music, musique concrète, and others; and popular music forms including multiple styles of dance music such as techno, house, trance, electro, breakbeat, drum and bass, synth pop, etc." Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronica_music

i never ever use the tags 'electronic' nor 'electronica'. because on last.fm this usage created an extended broad pool of very eclectic unrelating music. i like some of björk's songs, and i don't even think about that this is "electronic". the same goes for 'classical', 'new age', 'world', 'ambient', 'rock', 'alternative', etc. etc. we can help ourselves by thinking twice and avoiding such generic swatting tags.
